One of the most-watched and loved Japanese anime series in the world, Re Zero- Starting Life in Another World; is an Anime of the Isakai world. The series is popular as it takes you to another world and who does not wants to know about the other world. Re Zero is an adaptation of a Light Novel written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichirou Otsuka. The season 1 for Re Zero – Starting Life in Another World appeared in April 2016 and had 25 episodes which were broadcasted till September 19, 2016.
This series narrates the story of Subaru Natsuki, who is the lead character for Zero. Subaru devotes most of his time playing games and does not engage himself in anything other than that. One fine day he is transported to a different world while he was returning back to his home from a convenience store.
There he meets an elf with silver hair, named Satella. Satella is looking for a stolen thing and Subaru plans to help her find the same. Both of them get killed in a mysterious way as the story progresses. Subrau then discovers that he possesses a new ability “Return by Death” which lets his time travel and Subaru uses this ability along with the help from Elf to make his real-life better while he encounters various adventures of the other world.
Post the success of Season 1, Zero has launched 2 original video animations in 2019. Producers use original video animations to connect the two seasons or episodes. This was important as the makers were coming up with season 2 after a long gap of 4 years. Despite the OVAs was released fans of the series are still waiting to get the complete relationship between season 1 and season 2.
However, the wait seems to be over now. The trailer for Re Zero – Starting Life in Another World – Season 2 is launched on June 11th, 2020.
Season 2 is expected to be spilled in two parts, where the first half of season 2 will be premiered on July 8th, 2020. Makers are set to release the second part of the series in January 2021.
Re Zero is a story by Nagatsuki Tappei. It is directed by Masaharu Watanabe; character designing is done by Kyuta Sakai. Opening theme music “Realize” is by Konomi Suzuki and the ending theme music “Memento” is by Nonoc. It’s a White Fox Production.
