Recently, a digital artist made fan art of He-Man’s insectoid ally Buzz Off. He did a complete makeover to the character of Buzz Off and proposed a new design for the upcoming live-action film titled Masters of the Universe, which is currently under development.
The art looked pretty cool to the fans, and it predicted the new look of Buzz Off in the upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe film. The franchise will be led by He-Man and She-Ra, who began as children toy lines in the 1980s.
The cartoon was created to sell toys worldwide. After gaining fame, He-Man, She-Ra, and Skeletor became the fastest-selling toys. Later on, they gained their own multimedia franchise. Currently, Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is under production.
For a few years, Sony has teased the fans about the upcoming Masters of the Universe live-action. They have shared minor details about the movie, which is still in development. Looking at the current situation, the film will possibly release in 2021. The producers of the film have also cast To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before star, Noah Centino for the lead role.
The actor also began to bulk up to play the role of He-Man, who is known for his masculinity. Sadly, the film got affected by the coronavirus and got removed from the docket. The production process also halted a few months ago, so we have no clue about the air date of the upcoming film.
A new fan art reveal the new look of Buzz Off
A digital artist named George Evangelista has created a new look for the characters of Masters of the Universe for the fans. His Instagram account name is @georgeevangelista, and he is based in Melbourne, Australia.
The digital artist used his hyper-realistic style to depict the characters of the upcoming film. He tried his hands on Mer-Man and Beast Man, who are the villains of the franchise. After a while, he created fan art of the hero Buzz Off, which you can check out below.
We admit that He-Man’s bee-man does not look friendly in digital art. But the artist tried to spin the character and blend the new and old designs. The design looks like a mixture of a goofy character in a cutesy bee costume with a tint of green. Though Evangelista’s art makes Buzz Off appear intimidating than the original goofy character.
Conclusion
Unfortunately, fans may never get a chance to see Buzz Off in the live-action Masters of the Universe film. But don’t be sad because the She-Ra series will soon be rolling out on Netflix.
Moreover, Mark Hamill will return to voice the fan-favorite Skeletor. But for now, He-Man and friends are off the charts for a live-action film. You can click here to check out more fan arts in George Evangelista’s account.
