WKBN – PERRY TWP., OHIO (WKBN) – There’s a compelling reason to take a detour around Salem. A movie is being shot along Route 62 and 45 bypasses. On Tuesday afternoon, we discovered a production crew working in Perry Township.
Police from the municipality and Salem are barricading access to the area in order to keep vehicles — and inquisitive onlookers — away from the set.
The film, titled “Wheat Germ,” is being produced by Netflix and stars Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig. The Ohio Department of Transportation also verifies that the film’s producers obtained all required licenses for the road closure and are covering all associated costs.
