Sex Education, a comedy thriller, had already been renewed for a third season by Netflix. In September 2021, the development team began work on the upcoming season.
Sex Education Season 3 was rumoured to be released this summer, but after the Coronavirus outbreak hampered production and shooting began at the end of 2021, we should expect the sex comedy drama’s release to be postponed even further.
Season 3 of Sex Education is set to wrap up the cliffhangers from Season 2. For example, Jean Milburn’s unplanned pregnancy was revealed in the previous season. Jean was taken aback by the news. Viewers are waiting to see if Jean Milburn will end her pregnancy at this age.
Gillian Anderson revealed Jean Milburn’s pregnancy news in a Sex Education Season 3 teaser, saying Jean is “trying to discuss how to deal with that in relation to Jakob and also Otis.”
Otis will also be included in Season 3 of Sex Education. Season 3 will feature a time leap, according to Asa Butterfield.
Asa Butterfield explained, “There’s a bit of a time jump since the season two cliffhanger. Otis has returned to school, but he has a new set of responsibilities. He’s matured and become a little more sassy. It’s been a lot of fun portraying his newly acquired charm. But don’t worry, he’s still tragically awkward…. While filming, we were photographed by paparazzi, and people have been freaking out about Otis having a mustache.”
Season 3 of Sex Education, according to Asa Butterfield, would be very different from the previous seasons. He was the one who described scenic beauty. He said “We normally shoot in the summer, but this year those dates were pushed back, so we’ve been shooting in the fall and winter. So I like the fact that it will have a different feel. It’s already been lovely and bright, and now the browns and reds of autumn have arrived. It’s a little drier now, and everybody is wearing a sweater.”
