Netflix has announced the fourth season of Stranger Things. Here’s all we know about Season 4 so far, including specifics, spoilers, and Hopper and Eleven concepts.
It’s official, nerds. Stranger Things 4 is on the way. It’s happening right now. It has been verified. And today, it has been proven that Hopper, who was rumoured to have died at the end of Season 3, is still alive. Chief Hopper’s identity as an American inmate has been verified, putting to rest some theories.
Hopper can be seen working in a snowy Kamchatka area with a shaved head in the most recent teaser trailer. Although his survival is unsurprising, fans previously assumed he was trapped in the Upside Down.
After a Russian package was sent to lovers, a mysterious new phone number was revealed. If you dial 907-206-7700, you’ll get a voice message from a new character called Yuri, who owns a travel agency in Alaska… which is similar to Russia.
Eight new characters are added, including Jonathan’s new BFF, a Russian guard, a brand new jock at Hawkins High School, and a mental hospital orderly, all played by Jamie Campbell Bower.
New images from the Atlanta collection show Dustin, Max, Steve, and Robin collaborating this season. Maya Hawke’s real-life brother, Levon Thurman-Hawke, appears to have entered the cast of a punk-type character.
Stranger Things season 4 has yet to be revealed, and it’s difficult to guess when it will debut. The first two seasons aired in October, with the third taking a little longer before premiering on July 4, 2019.
A TV Line study on the number of Season 4 episodes also reveals that filming was scheduled to start in January and wrap in August, but that was before the coronavirus shut down production. Production in Atlanta has resumed in the summer as of October 2020.
All of Noah Schnapp’s (Will), Millie Bobby Brown’s (Eleven), Caleb McLaughlin’s (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo’s (Dustin), Finn Wolfhard’s (Mike), and Sadie Sink’s (Max) characters are expected to return. Winona Ryder will definitely reprise her role as Joyce Byers, everyone’s favourite Stressed Mother.
Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, and Joe Keery, all of whom are likely to be full-time faculty students, should also return. Maya Hawke (Robin) and Cara Buono (Karen Wheeler) are both expected to return for another year. Murray Bauman and Erica Sinclair can be seen even more in season 4 due to the promotion of Brett Gelman (Murray) and Priah Ferguson (Erica) to series regulars. After months of speculation and theories, David Harbour will soon be returning as Chief Hopper in year 4.
