Freeform has renewed the psychological thriller for a second season. Originally airing on the channel in April, Cruel Summer has since made its way to Amazon Prime.
Freefom, however, announced that there would be more episodes to come before the show was placed on the streaming site for worldwide visitors to enjoy. Nevertheless, it was “overwhelmingly positive”, according to Tara Duncan, the network president.
