The Umbrella Academy is a superhero fantasy based on the comic book series of the same name published by Dark Horse Comics.The series was created by Steve Blackman and produced by Jeremy Slater. It aired on Netflix on February 15, 2019, and received amazing reviews from fans and critics alike.
In April 2019, Netflix reported that 45 million households had watched the show within the first month of release.Due to its remarkable reach, the series was renewed for a second season.

The trailer of season two was released three days ago on July 8th, 2020. It has been confirmed that the second season will be released on July 31, 2020, on Netflix!
The cast of Season 2
Fans loved the cast of the lead characters of the first season and these same actors have been cast in the sequel too! Ellen Page as Vanya, Tom Hopper as Luther, David Castañeda as Diego, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison, Robert Sheehan as Klaus, Alan Dallagher as Number Five and Justin H. Min as Ben. In addition to the new actors have been cast for Season 2- Yusuf Gatewood as Raymond and Ritu Aarya as Lila.
The plot of Season 2
The last season ended with a cliffhanger. Vanya loses control over both her temper and powers. When Allison tries to stop her, the accumulated energy gets redirected into space and destroys the moon causing the start of the apocalypse. With the help of Number Five’s power to travel both space and time, they decide to go back in time and stop the apocalypse as a team. The plot of the next season is set in the year 1963. And we know that Ben is alive in this season.Pogo and Sir Reginald will be featured too, as the plot is set in the past.
