Additional voice artists include Gillian Jacobs, Mahershala Ali, Jon Hamm, Mark Hamill, and not forget Seth Rogen, who is going to be there as Allen the Alien.

Let’s find out why Allen the Alien sounds so familiar

Apatow acolyte

Seth Rogen started his work journey with Judd Apatow who referred him to Freaks and Geeks, in which he played one of the Freaks. After that, he was cast in Undeclared, You’ve Got Mail and The 40-year-old Virgin. Due to Rogen’s connections with Apatow, he got to meet the Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise, and their discussions went straight into the areas Rogen is comfortable in and that is “Drugs and Pornography”.

Superbad turned out super good for Seth Rogen

Rogen shifted into the writing and producing mode in 2007’s Superbad. Rogen started his co-writing with Evan Goldberg, the movie stars Johan Hill and Michael Cera.

Superbad turned out super good for Rogen because it was a highly influential movie. After Superbad, Rogen got a lot of work in co-writing screenplays, producing as well as acting. He worked on a movie like Pineapple Express, The Green Hornet, This is the End, The Interview, Sausage Party and the Neighbors 2.

Allen isn’t Seth Rogen’s first alien role

He voiced Paul in Paul in 2011. The movie included other stars including Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Jason Bateman, and Sigourney Weaver.

Rogen has also played a monster in Monsters vs. Aliens. This is the reason why he is best suited for the voice in the Invincible.
