Christopher Nolan one of the most famous Hollywood directors who has directed movies such as Inception, Interstellar, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight Rises just to name a few. Recently we got to know from Anne Hathaway the advice he gave her before the shooting of Dark Knight Rises. Let’s find out what did he say to her!
The Conversation Between Christopher Nolan and Anne Hathaway
In a recent interview, we saw Anne Hathaway talking about how Christopher Nolan’s advice helped her in doing her role better. She said “Chris sat me down and he said, ‘It has nothing to do with your appearance. If we’ve shot tomorrow, I’d be so happy.’” Before the shoot and after that he said she should focus on strength training as he asked her to embrace the physical side of her character as well.
He wanted her to do most of her stunts herself and told her “I want you to do as much of the stunt work as you can. I need you to be strong enough to do that. I can’t have you be one of those actors that does one take, two takes, and then you’re too tired. I want you to do everything.”
Maybe this was the reason why she gave an extraordinary performance in the movie and received a great response for her performance as Catwoman. She also talked about how Christopher Nolan doesn’t have chairs on his set as he thinks that if there are chairs people will be sitting and if u r sitting that means that you aren’t working. She also talked about how she likes to observe directors and watch them how they do their magic and Christopher Nolan’s approach is one of her favorites.
She also pointed out that most of his movies are completed at the scheduled time and are usually under budget so maybe more people should implement the no chair policy.Christopher Nolan is considered as one of the best directors and the most helpful one in the industry. So hopefully we will keep on getting the updates of his good deeds.
Until then, let’s stay safe and stay tuned for more interesting insights.
