It is a Canadian drama portraying Anne, a secondary school youngster who helps people with her knowledge. The show is created by Moira Walley-Beckett and the screenplay is written by her as well. Adapted from Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel, Anne of Green Gables revolves around the life of Anne.
It is a CBC TV series that started back in March 2017. Season 3 was released in September 2019. There is a total of 28 episodes collectively comprising all the seasons which were also released on Netflix.
Release Date
The release date is confirmed yet, neither by Netflix nor CBC. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many shows have not been renewed. Therefore, we can’t expect a decision from Netflix or the creators in the meantime.
Will there be any new faces in the series?
The cast is yet to be verified, we can expect the cast list soon after the new series’ renewal is announced. We might get to see some fresh faces as the storyline moves further.
The lead actors from the previous season include Amibeth McNulty, Geraldine James, R.H Thomson, Dalila Bella, and Lucas Juman.
Plot
In the novel, Lucy Maud Montgomery has written about Anne’s travel beyond her school years. As in the book, there are numerous adventures in Anne’s life, she gets married and has kids, after which she is introduced to roles she has to play and experience new things in life.
Though Anne’s journey finished in the last season it is too early to predict which turn the series would take in the expected season four.
However, we need to wait for the details to be uncovered by the official sources.
Where is the trailer and is it happening?
We cannot make a guess when we get to see the trailer as the production has not even started yet. The makers, including Netflix, say that there is not a solid fan base for the series and there are almost zero audiences from the age group of 24-51 years, so there are very fewer chances for season 4 to be made. The producers have already said goodbye to the project.
Another reason we could consider here is that Netflix and CBC have ended their bond; therefore, it can also be another reason why there is no certainty about season four.
