Ariana Grande takes a break from her responsibilities as a coach on NBC’s The Voice to release a glittering (and little gloomy) new ballad, “Just Look Up,” a duet with Kid Cudi.
The new song was released at midnight and is the main single from the Netflix film Don’t Look Up, in which they both star. Grande shows off her range and control on the track, even screaming out high notes that Mariah Carey would be proud of.
The song was written by Grande and Cudi, as well as Nicholas Britell and Taura Stinson. Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Leonardo DiCaprio, and the two singing stars star in Don’t Look Up.
“Kate Dibiasky (Lawrence), an astronomy graduate student, and her professor Dr. Randall Mindy (DiCaprio) make an incredible discovery of a comet circling within the solar system,” according to the film’s synopsis.
The issue is that it is on a collision trajectory with Earth. What about the other issue? Nobody seemed to be concerned. It turns out that warning humanity about a planet-killer on the scale of Mount Everest is a difficult truth to manage.
” The film will be released in select cinemas on December 10 and on Netflix on December 24 – Christmas Eve.
What else do we know?
We can credit Ariana Grande for creating the hymn “thank you, next” and inspiring us to emulate her enormous ponytail and doll-like aesthetic. However, the 28-year-old has recently upped the ante with sexier and more exposing ensembles.
The brunette beauty continues to outdo herself, from her bright blue bustier crop top and matching skirt combo on The Voice to the latex bodysuit she wore last month.
We couldn’t believe the Instagram censors didn’t interfere when we saw what she wore to advertise her R.E.M. Beauty brand!
