In a tiny teaser posted on Twitter, Zack Snyder announced that the prequel to Army of the Dead would arrive on Netflix in the fall. On October 29, “Army of Thieves” will be available on Netflix worldwide.

Snyder produces the sequel, with Matthias Schweighöfer directing. According to the storey summary released earlier, a mysterious woman named Gwendoline enlists Ludwig Dieter, played by Schweighöfer, in a squad of high-profile criminals wanted by Interpol in the zombie-free sequel year. There are a number of ways they propose to do this, including breaking into some of Europe’s toughest cracks safe.

After all, the sequel was described by Snyder as a movie with English and German subtitles that had a “global flavour.” In the first teaser, we get a peek of the movie’s tone as we meet the crook crew, which includes Stuart Martin as Brad Cage, Ruby O. Fee as Korina, and Guz Khan as Rolph.

Even though Snyder won’t be directing, this trailer reveals he’s still involved. And he’s not just producing, he’s also co-writing the script with Army of the Dead writer Shay Hatten, and by the sounds of it, he even edited the teaser.

In the future, Snyder and co. will continue to turn back the clock on the Army. An anime series examining the Las Vegas zombies at the beginning of the pandemic is the other prequel, Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas. In addition to returning actors, Joe Manganiello and Christian Slater have been added to the roster.

If you want straight-up sequels, there will be one as well. However, little is known about Army of the Dead 2’s plot other than how it will begin. Vanderohe, the sole survivor of the original theft, discovers an infected bite as his jet approaches Mexico City in the first film.

On October 29, Army of Thieves will be available on Netflix globally. In the meantime, watch other movies that are available on Netflix.
