KAWS has donated a painting valued at $250,000 to benefit the Free Arts  NYC, which provides art programs and mentoring to youths in underserved communities across the city.

The artist — respected by stars like Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian, and Drake  — shared the news to his Instagram this week with a photo of the painting,  writing, “I have donated this painting to support Free Arts NYC…It will be  offered to the public via sweepstakes .”

We’re told KAWS had the idea to raffle off the piece, which features his famed  “What Party” figure painted with acrylic on canvas.

Participants can enter to win the sweepstakes an unlimited amount of time.

“Free Arts NYC is a creative arts organization committed to lifting up the next generation of artists. As a champion of our mission, KAWS has hosted studio visits and art-making workshops for our youth over the years,” Founder and  Executive Director of Free Arts NYC Liz Hopfan told Page Six on Tuesday.

“2020 has required everyone to think creatively and as we imagined new ways to advance our mission, this unique fundraiser came to life,” she continued. “Because of KAWS’ continued support and generous donation, we  are able to offer a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win this painting for $100!”

All proceeds will directly support the non-profit. The winner will be selected at random in October.
