Oti Mabuse, a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, has revealed a new hairdo. As part of a new series of Instagram photos, Oti has opted for a cropped do in a trendy shade of copper.
With a winking emoji, she captioned the photos, “Hello 31… 2021, let’s have fun.” The 2021 series of the BBC One competition is expected to begin in September, so viewers won’t have to wait long to see Oti again, but we’ll have to wait and see if she’s sporting her much shorter do or opting for another change by then.
In any case, the 31-year-old actress has hinted that her upcoming series could be her last. “I enjoy dancing and providing joy to others. The last one, I believe,” she said.
As she explained to Metro, “I don’t know why I said it, but it’s one season at a time. I’m not sure what hit me. So I’ll wait and see how I feel. But, first and foremost, this is one of the best jobs I’ve ever had, and Strictly for me is the most incredible experience of my life,” she says.
First professional to win twice in a row on Strictly Come Dancing, Oti created history on the competition. A year after she won the Glitterball Trophy with Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher, she did it again with comedian Bill Bailey the following year as well.
Ugo Monye, Adam Peaty, and Judi Love from Loose Women are among the celebrities attending this year’s event. Other notables include Greg Wise, Hollyoaks’ Katie McGlynn, Nina Wadia from Eastenders, and CBBC’s Rhys Stephenson.
Comic: Robert Webb, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Sara Davies, chef Tilly Ramsay, and McFly’s Tom Fletcher. BBC One broadcasts Strictly Come Dancing. It will be back in later 2021.
