In a new BBC Two series, Romesh Ranganathan turns his skills to true crime.

Romesh Ranganathan’s Miss-investigations League of Your Own Star is now confirmed for its three-part series, which will see him examine in detail some of the most shocking high profile deaths.

In addition to examining why the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Tupac Shakur were dead at such an early age and why they continue to fascinate all, Romesh also will study their incredible achievements and heritages.

Each episode, comprising criminal psychologists and private detectives, will also be supported by a new assistant.

“We wanted a spin-off for misadventures, and after discussing misunderstandings and misinterpretations, we ultimately resolved mismanagement. We agreed to settle on Misinvestigations finally,” Romesh added.

“These high-profile deaths were interested, and I am quite happy to see them; if people don’t like them, of course, then I will write a statement explaining how I have never truly believed in the idea.”

“Romesh proved to be a brilliant guide when he took us over the world in his misadventures,” said Morgan Roberts, Head of Actual Entertainment at Rumpus Media.

“In this new series, he trains his curiosity, wisdom and sub-optimal ability to investigate amazing events in pop culture by watching the life and premature deaths of some of his biggest icons; not only examining them but also why they remain so contested to the present day.”

Romesh Ranganathan’s misinvestigations will be broadcast on BBC later this year.
