BBC one is soon releasing a crime drama Bloodlands where James Besbitt will be playing the character of a Northern Irish Police Detective who is hunting a serial killer.
Though so far the final release date of Bloodlands has not been announced, we are expecting that the new series might release on BBC One and BBC iPlayer very soon as per the last released trailer.
talking about the plot, it is a crime drama series where a Northern Irish Police Detective Tom Brannick finds out that a suicide is related to a cold case which also has somewhere personal connection to himself. Then he tries to catch the killer where he keeps trying to catch him and fails multiple times.
The Bloodlands has James Nesbitt who will be the lead actor of the show and will be playing the role of the detective Brannick. Along with Nesbit, there are Ian McElhinney, Lisa Dwan, Luther star Michal Smiley, Lorcan Cranitch, Ripper Street’s Charlene McKenna and Lola Patticrew.
James Nesbitt really loved the story of Bloodlands and he also praised the writer Chris Brandon for his works. he also added that he was very thrilled to making a drama in Northern Ireland. he said that they had a very great script written by brilliant young writer which is very exciting and people are going to love it.
Piers Wenger, The controller of BBC Drama, Also praised the series as he saw the trailer. He said that Chris has really crafted a great trailer which is very gripping and also puts light on the troubles that people face who are living in Northern Ireland. He added that they were really glad to be working with such a great team consisting of Chris, Jimmy, Jed and the other cast.
