Better Call Saul Season 6 Cast, Filming, Storyline, and Details We Know So Far

Better Call Saul was renewed for a sixth and final season in January 2020, signaling the end of Jimmy McGill and his cronies. The AMC series, a spin-off, prequel, and sequel to Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould’s Breaking Bad, follows Bob Odenkirk’s Jimmy McGill’s path from ex-con to an idealistic lawyer to a greedy attorney. On his path to success, he encounters a number of unpleasant events, has a difficult love life, meets a morally challenged former police officer, and becomes connected with a Mexican drug gang.

It was reported in April 2020 that filming for the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul would begin in September of that year, however the production was postponed due to pandemic restrictions. The next season began filming in New Mexico in March 2021, however production was interrupted after Odenkirk suffered a heart attack on site at the end of July 2021. (He returned to work in early September after recuperating.)

Number of episodes

Better Call Saul’s sixth season is slated to contain 13 episodes. The program’s makers have declared that this will be the most episodes per season of the show, with all prior seasons (from Season 1 to Season 5) consisting of ten episodes. Furthermore, the AMC series will conclude one episode sooner than its predecessor, Breaking Bad, which spanned five seasons and 62 episodes. Better Call Saul has 63 episodes in total.

Cast Members

The sixth and final season of Better Call Saul has announced that all of the main characters from previous seasons will return. Odenkirk leads the cast as Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman/Gene Takavic. The main cast includes Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut, Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin, Michael Mando as Nacho Varga, Giancarlo Esposito as Gus/Gustavo Fring, and Tony Dalton as Lalo Salamanca.

Aside from this list, numerous cast members from past seasons may return for the final season. Among those who may appear are Mark Margolis as Hector Salamanca, Maximino Arciniega as Domingo “Krazy-8” Molina, Kerry Condon as Stacey Ehrmantraut, Juliet Donenfeld as Kaylee Ehrmantraut, Steven Bauer as Don Eladio Vuente, Jeremiah Bitsui as Victor, and Javier Grajeda as Juan Bolsa.

Release Date

Previously, the sixth season of Better Call Saul was confirmed in January 2020, with a broadcast date of 2021. However, owing to the COVID-19 epidemic and the consequent limitations, the production process was delayed. AMC started in February 2021 that the final season will most likely be published in the first quarter of 2022.

However, no release date has ever been established. When Better Call Saul Season 6 reaches theatres, all 13 episodes will be released monthly. Keep in mind, though, that this is merely a preliminary estimate; Season 6 might arrive as late as mid-2022.

From Season 1 through Season 5, Better Call Saul chronicles the complex yet intriguing storey of small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill. By Season 5, he has fully transformed himself into an ambitious and self-centered attorney, rebranding himself as Saul Goodman and dealing with the consequences of his actions on his intimate relations.

All of the past seasons have hinted at Jimmy’s future, in which he flees to Omaha and works as a manager at Cinnabon under the alias Gene Takavic. As a result, the last season will most likely chronicle the circumstances that led Jimmy to become Gene.

Then there’s the story of Kim Wexler. Kim, a once idealist lawyer, has lately undergone a personality shift. By the end of Season 5, Jimmy and Kim are married, and Kim devises a scheme to make a large sum of money from a case. Fans have been concerned about her safety thus far, but it appears that she has a major game planned. Will she perish or be imprisoned?

Nacho, Lalo, and Gus are on the other side of the line. Nacho’s attempt to assassinate Lalo on his own estate in Mexico by collaborating with Gus seems to unravel in the Season 5 finale. Both Lalo and Gus will most certainly be hunting for Nacho, which indicates his days are numbered.

Unfortunately, no trailer for Better Call Saul Season 6 has been released. However, because filming is currently underway and is anticipated to be completed shortly, there is a strong potential that we may see some footage or a real official trailer in the coming days (or months). So, stay tuned for further updates and keep an eye on this area as we bring you teasers, trailers, and more information as they become available.
