A new Netflix agreement has been signed by Power creator Courtney Kemp, which means she’ll be creating additional series for the streaming service. The popular Starz series was developed by the producer and writer in 2014 and ended last year, however it has since spawned a number of spin-offs.
In a four-year contract, Kemp’s End of Episode production business will produce worldwide content for Netflix, according to TVLine. There’s good news for Power fans though, as she will continue to serve as executive producer on the Starz series, including Book II: Ghost, Book III: Raising Kanan, and Book IV: Force
End of Episode is recognized for its diverse, multilingual, watercooler, social-media-fueled programs that deliver a significant punch, Kemp said in a statement. The Netflix worldwide TV president, Bela Bajaria, and her staff “appreciate the voice and viewpoint that we bring to the table,” he says.
‘Courtney is the genuine deal,’ Bajaria said. In addition, she has a keen awareness of what viewers desire. We’re pleased to welcome her to Netflix because she’s done something uncommon and remarkable in television.
On Starz in the United States, Power is accessible on Netflix in the United Kingdom. From July 18, Power Book III: Raising Kanan will be aired on Starz in the United States and on Starzplay, which is available through Amazon Prime Video in the United Kingdom.
