The previous season of Black Mirror released on June 5, 2019, on Netflix. As far as the new season goes, creators haven’t announced any official date yet. Though, after gaining huge success in previous seasons, it would be saddening if the streaming platform doesn’t release another part. If the show does get renewed, then we can expect the Black Mirror Season 6 to launch by the end of 2020 or in 2021. However, we don’t have any official confirmation yet, so let’s stay optimistic and hope for the best.

Black Mirror Plot: What is it about?

The plot of the show mostly focuses on the relationship of humans with technology. It shows how the objectivity of a mere machine can be destroyed when humans interact with it. In some of the episodes, the show also revealed some human traits and their social conditions, which are more animalistic than the civilized.

Some of the episodes have also shown us where the humans wanted to control various aspects of their lives. However, not all the episodes are grim and dark. Some of them have lighter tones too. Episodes like ‘Hang the DJ’ and ‘San Junipero’ are best to watch in lighter tones. In ‘Smithereens’, viewers saw a man driven to violence and madness due to phones.

In another episode of ‘Striking Vipers’, viewers saw a family man who struggles daily and gets involved in a fighting game. In the fifth season, Miley Cyrus gave insight to the viewers about the celebrity culture and how we dehumanize them. All they need is a human connection, just like us. If the show is renewed for a sixth season, we can expect it to return with their combination of lighter episodes and darker themes.
