This series that shows a glimpse of what we might become and how our society might evolve is both intriguing and scary and maybe that is the reason why it is one of the most famous series on Netflix. The series has already released 5 seasons, will there be a 6th season? Let’s find out.
The series is created by Charlie Brooker and is based on Dystopian, Science Fiction related plots, and storyline. Each episode of the series is standalone and tells a story set in near future or sometimes even an alternate present. The series highlights the dark and unanticipated consequences because of our behavior and the development of new technologies. The series premiered its first season in December 2011 and February 2013 on Channel 4 and was later purchased by Netflix and premiered 3rd season in October 2016 and the 4th one on 29 December 2017. The latest season for the series was released on June 5, 2019, and only had 3 episodes. So when can we expect Season 6?
Expectation From Season 6
As of yet the series hasn’t been renewed for another season however based on the success and the popularity of the series it is safe to say there will probably be a Season 6. Since there have been no announcements and due to the delay caused by the Pandemic, we can’t be sure when the next season will come. What Will Be Cast
As mentioned earlier the episodes are usually standalone and don’t feature the same artists again and again. Along with no official announcements we don’t have any clue about the cast and who will be in the series however looking at the cast for previous seasons which includes Jon Hamm, Miley Cyrus, Andrew Scott, Alex Lawther, and many more. So we can be sure the cast for the next season won’t disappoint.
What Is More About The Series?
The narrative of the series is usually dark and satirical however we have also seen some episodes that lighter and have a comedic touch to them. In a recent interview, we saw Brooker saying that he has been busy doing things which he can’t say about he also said “At the moment, I don’t know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I’m not working away on one of those. I’m sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I’ve been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh.” With the ongoing Pandemic and the situation of unrest around the world spreading more fear would be inappropriate so we might see a fresh side of Black Mirror in the 6th Season.
