Rosamund Pike revealed the reason behind playing Miranda Frost again: “There’s this character in the movie Die Another Day, Miranda Frost, who is a femme fatale,” the Bond actress said, “And she’s amazing. I think that would be so interesting to do.
She got numerous letters from individuals saying, ‘I love your character in the movie Die Another Day. Why don’t you do the sequel?’ It’s just flattering.”
The 41-year-old star, who played a Bond girl in the 2002 action thriller, admitted she “would love to” revisit the character.
The actress continued: “There’s something about her. The character was composed of Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and I truly believe she’s splendid. She has also been honored as the Empire Award for Best Newcomer for her debut s the young lady Miranda Frost in the movie Die Another Day which was released in 2002.
Miranda Frost first appeared in The Die Another Day as the boss of MI6 in Hong Kong. She was married to Thomas Lowe and the former MI6 boss went rogue in the film.
She is also the sister of the director of the Golden Compass film, Chris Weitz. With Rosamund being a Bond girl, she said she was surprised that she never received more fan mail from fans about it.
