Brooklyn Nine-Nine has finally come to its end after eight enjoyable, admiring seasons. The plot of the popular comedy series revolves around a team of detectives at the 99th Precinct of the New York Police Department in Brooklyn. The series had been created by Dan Goor (Parks and Recreation) and Michael Schur (The Good Place) and stars Melissa Fumero, Andy Samberg, Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Andre Braugher, Joe Lo Truglio, Dirk Blocker, and Joel McKinnon Miller.
The series has managed to remain an audience favorite since its premiere on Fox in 2013 and won the Golden Globe for Best Comedy Series in 2014. After successfully completing a five-season run, Fox canceled Brooklyn Nine-Nine which ultimately disappointed millions of fans.
There was a massive outcry on social media platforms from fans and the series was yet again picked up for a new season on NBC. However, they had to skip the 2020-2021 broadcast due to the COVID-19 pandemic and now fans are eagerly waiting for the eighth season to show up.
The eighth season would be the final season in the series and is scheduled to air during the 2021-2022 broadcast season on NBC, officially announced by NBC.
