Mariner Brinkley-Cook’s supermodel mother, Christie Brinkley, never knew the degree of her little girl’s battles with self-perception.

“My mother didn’t completely know the agony that I was experiencing when I was even from a pessimistic standpoint,” Brinkley-Cook, 21, said on “Great Morning America” Friday.
