Christie Brinkley surprised fans on Tuesday when she stepped out in a festive vivid red suit for a special event. The entrepreneur attended the 2021 Footwear News Achievement Awards at Casa Cipriani alongside Kathy Hilton and Nicky Hilton.
Christie Brinkley joked on Instagram as she shared behind-the-scenes photos from the event, “New York is Back-ish!” Because of the approaching Omicrom wicked virus hiding in the wings, I say ish. (Mask on! Get vaccinated!)”
“Thankfully, Covid procedures were in place, and the footwear industry’s tight-knit members were in the mood to crank up to high heels or crocs and trainers at
the 35th-anniversary awards event, which would be the Oscar’s of the shoe biz!” she concluded.
“And it’s a foregone conclusion that it will be named the finest awards show of the year. @michael at more, congratulations. I had a great time speaking with the amazing and creative awardees, such as the funny @kathyhilton and the charming and elegant @nickyhilton.”
Christie donned a vibrant red suit with a double-breasted jacket, matching cigarette trousers, a thin black leather belt wrapped twice around her waist, and traditional black stilettos. “You are quite lovely, and that color is so pretty!” said one fan, while another added, “That is a fantastic look on you!” That color looks great on you! Fabulous.”
The 67-year-old, one of the world’s first supermodels, has already spoken out about how she maintains her young and healthy appearance with a balanced lifestyle.
She feels that all delights, from a nice glass of wine to the odd bit of cheese, help her remain on track – but she often owes her lifestyle to her dogs.
She has many dogs and a cat and previously stated to Forbes, “When you are a pet owner, you want them to stay as long as possible.
“Pets have several health advantages, including the requirement to walk them (or dogs, at the very least), and it’s thought that their stress-relieving abilities may help decrease blood pressure and cholesterol.
Going for a walk, on the other hand, is only one kind of cardio, and because it’s normal for our joints and bones to deteriorate as we age, Christie Brinkley feels that by moving as much as she can, she’s keeping her body in good shape.
“Don’t stop moving or you’ll rust,” she told The Cut. “You have to oil the joints & keep on moving; as soon as I do that, I’m OK; if you stop, they’ll start acting up.”
