After terrorising Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and Simon Barlow (Will Mellor), the verdict of wicked villain Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) will be confirmed this week on Coronation Street (Alex Bain).
Harvey has been working with his aunt Sharon Bentley (Tracie Bennett) to prevent Leanne from testifying against him in court – to the point of forcing her, Simon, and Nick (Ben Price) into hiding.
Because of Sharon’s involvement, Harvey had her beaten up by her heavies when he became weary of her failures.
In dramatic sequences, however, Leanne will boldly take the stand and confront Harvey with a piercing look of determination as she tells him what he has done.
In yet another slap in the face for Harvey, Sharon turns on him and gives a statement against him in front of the jury, attesting to his misdeeds.
Harvey is furious after being found guilty and sentenced to prison, but is the nightmare finally over?
Sharon realises she is more of a target than ever and rushes cap in hand to Rita Tanner while Leanne attempts to move on with Simon and put their lives back together (Barbara Knox).
