Viewers of CORONATION STREET may soon witness a new romance blossoming on the cobblestones, but will some hearts be crushed in the process?

Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) first appeared on Coronation Street at the end of last year, but she quickly caused controversy by flirting with David Platt, who is married (Jack P. Shepherd). She appears to have her sights set on yet another abducted man. Daisy will back Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) in a prospective new job move, according to official ITV soap spoilers, but might their friendship evolve into anything more? Is it possible that Ryan would end up splitting up with Alya Nazir (Sair Khan)?

On Coronation Street, co-workers Ryan and Daisy from Rovers Return were spotted getting closer. Daisy tries to disguise her worry in forthcoming scenes on the soap as Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) travels into town to settle out the mortgage.

She grants herself all of Sean Tully’s (Antony Cotton) shifts when rewriting the bar schedule, but Emma points out that with Sean gone, so has the hotpot recipe. Daisy tries to downplay the situation, but Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) declares that she will not move unless Sean is restored.

Jenny is shocked later when she reads the Double Glammy item in the Gazette. She’s outraged when she finds that Daisy has stripped Sean of his shifts and Emma has staged a walk-out, so she reinstates Sean. Daisy feels humiliated, especially when Jenny discloses that she has examined her finances and has decided to purchase the pub altogether. Daisy encourages Ryan to restart his career and follow his passion after he discloses he’s a DJ.

Meanwhile, Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) reports that he has found a new home, and Jenny offers a goodbye drink to toast the good times. Meanwhile, Alya reports that the bank has agreed to take back the community centre, allowing Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) to pay off her obligations. Alya tells Ryan that if they want to have their own home, he needs to work more to help pay the rent.

This, however, dampens his mood, and when Daisy notices Ryan’s dissatisfaction in the pub, she tries to cheer him up. Ryan asks Alya out for a night out, but she snaps at him, informing her boyfriend she needs to work. If Daisy continues to encourage Ryan, may they wind up becoming more than just coworkers?
