Alan McGee is the infamous founder of the Creation Records. He is well known for his snarky remarks about the other people of the music industry and the good music he produces. He ran the studios from its start in 1983 to its closure by 1999.
He was also a journalist and worked for The Guardian. He wrote the criticism about the music of contemporary times and was a musician himself
McGee’s Autobiography:
His autobiography, Creation Stories: Riots, Raves, and Running A Label, was a bestseller with its mind-blowing memoirs making us wonder how stunning and adventurous his life was despite his lowest lows with drug addiction and bankruptcy.
What did we know about the upcoming movie?
The book has recently been announced to be adapted into a movie of the same name directed by Danny Boyle who was also the director of the thriller hit of the 90s Trainspotting.
The film will be produced by Nick Morran and written by Irvine Welsh, Trainspotting (the book and the movie), The Acid House (which supposedly influenced Alan McGee), and Filth.
The cast of Creation Stories:
The role of Alan McGee will be played by Ewen Bremner, who also acted in Trainspotting (see the pattern here?). Other acclaimed actors such as Jason Isaacs, Ed Byrne, Paul Kaye, Perry Benson, Thomas Turgoose, Steven Berkoff, Rufus Jones, Mel Raido, Suki Waterhouse, and Leo Flanagan can also be seen.
Do you think the new movie would just be a reunion of the Trainspotting crew? Tell us!
