Welcome back folks! We are back to you with yet another update of one of our favorite animated children’s movies ever! ‘The Croods’, which is written and directed by Chris Sanders, is a prehistoric family comedy from 2013 and was pretty well received by the audience.
Even the first installment of the franchise was pushed back for release due to certain studio changes. Let take a look at what is going on and what the Franchise will bring to us this time around.
The Croods 2: RELEASE DATE
Talks of a sequel were in lines ever since the original came out but were later stalled and then scraped off completely due to some issues by DreamWorks Animation Studio.
Similar to many releases, this franchise is faced with the issue of the ongoing pandemic but it seems nothing is going to stop them releasing the second installment this year!
Although the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic had brought in major losses to the production house ‘The Croods 2’ is all set to be released by the Universal Pictures on December 25, 2020.
The release has been pushed back yet again due to the pandemic which was originally set to release on September 18, 2020.
The Croods 2: CAST
Sources say that the original voice actors are set to return to the cast including Nicolas Cage as Grug Crood, Emma Stone as Eep Crood, Catherine Keener as Ugga Crood, Ryan Reynolds as Guy, Cloris Leachman as Gran, Clark Duke as Thunk Crood, Chris Sanders as Belt and Randy Thom as Sandy Crood.
It is also to be noted that the actor Kelly Marie who replaced Kat Dennings as Dwan might also be a part of the cast.
The Croods 2: PLOT
As of yet, we are still awaiting a trailer or a story synopsis on the sequel ‘The Croods 2’ as nothing has been revealed yet.
Judging from what the first movie was about, where members of the Crood family meet members of the Better man family, we can only expect more bliss, comedy, and adventure in the sequel.
We can only guess how they try and survive the dreaded disaster and the fear they have instilled in them and the bond the members of the family share with each other. And we can not sit still when we think of the fantasy that awaits us.
We are the happiest we could be that the movie has a release date now after all this time of waiting for a second installment, especially given the circumstances we are under. Are you someone who enjoys animation movies?
