Cursed, a blend of Fantasy, Serial drama, action and adventure based on the novel of the same name by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler has released on Netflix on July 17th, 2020. Just like the novel the series is a creation of Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler.

Cursed Storyline

The first season of Cursed contains 10 episodes with screen time 40-45 min. The story revolves around a girl named Nimue which is played by Katherine Langford, a young heroine who is gifted with mysterious things for her destiny to unfold making her powerful with unexpected outcomes. 

After her mother’s death, Nimue will meet Arthur to find a way that will lead them to a wizard named Merlin to handover a Sword to her which Nimue’s mother told her to give to Merlin before she died. While she looks out for the wizard, the story further is going to reveal the challenges faced by her alongside taking on the Red Paladins and the King Urther.

Release Date of Cursed

Katherine Langford is an Australian actress who was seen in a famous series 13 reasons why recently updated about the release of her American fantasy web series ”cursed” on her Instagram handle. At the same time, Netflix also released the poster of the series saying that the series will hit the platform this summer, and finally after waiting so patiently, the first season of cursed was released on 17th July 2020.

Cast of the series

As the series has already been premiered here’s a quick one to the overall cast where Katherine takes on the lead role as Nimue, followed by Devon Terell starring as Arthur, Gustaf Skarsgard appearing as Merlin, Peter Mullan to be starred as Father Carden, Lily Newmark showing up as Pym, Shamol Brune-Franklin to play Igraine.

A few other names shall include Daniel Sharman to be seen as Weeping Monk, Sebastion Armesto starring as King Urther Pendagron followed by Emily Coates and Billy Jenkins being a part of the cast.

Future of Cursed: Season 2 – Yes or No?

Katherine Longford said in an interview that Cursed will be having its own little Genre , and to make that happen, Netflix will need to renew the series for a second season. Netflix hasn’t revealed anything about the second part of the series because there is no confirmation that there will be a second part. 

it is expected that the official announcement on the show’s future will be made in Mid-August, as Netflix takes around at least one month to decide the future of the series basis on the response it gets. If there will be a season 2, then Katherine’s character may rise out of the lake i.e. born a new in season 2.
