As per the initial plan Cyberpunk, 2077 was to be released on 17th September 2020. It is written by Marcin Blacha; Jakub Szamałek and Stanisław Święcicki; and designed by Mike Pondsmith and Konrad Tomaszkiewicz. It is an open-world action role play game developed by CD Projekt and CD Projekt RED.
Platforms that support this game are Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and Microsoft Windows. Music is by Marcin Przybyłowicz, P. T. Adamczyk, Paul Leonard-Morgan, and numerous other pop artists. It is a game on science fiction series and an adaptation of the Cyberpunk franchise. The game shows a not so utopian Night City, which is a state in the Free State of California. It is an open-world game with six distinct regions where players can choose to play through connecting and drifting storylines. The look and style of the player is customizable.
The game is played in the first form perspective where players can also experience jazzy décor and rough cities with bright neon colors along with gadgets of the future world. CD Projekt made changes in the initial plan by postponing the Night City Wire Event to 25th June. As per the initial plan the date was 11th June 2020.
As CD Projekt said in an official statement “We decided to move Night City Wire to Jun 25th. We still look forward to sharing new information about CP’77, but more important discussions are happening right now and we want them to be heard. We wholeheartedly stand against racism, intolerance, and violence. Black Lives Matter.”
“Since mid-March, we have been working from home, while ensuring continuity of all our operations,” Kicinski explained. “Our goals haven’t changed; first and foremost, we intend to release Cyberpunk 2077 in September. We feel motivated and have the necessary tools at our disposal to meet this goal.” Apart from this, the pandemic is one of the other reasons for the delay which has put everything on hold.
Till we get to hear something new, stay home, and stay safe.
