Breaking News: As per the producer of the James Bond Films, Barbara Broccoli, the cast for the replacement for current 007 -Daniel Craig has not been finalized yet. The dust has to settle on Daniel Craig’s replacement soon where-in there is a chance for a non-white actor to get this role, but it won’t be a woman as per the speculations.
More than the cast change, it will be a reimagined role makeover for the James Bond character. But the male gender still might dominate the super sky role and it won’t be a woman at this point.
Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson (long-time production collaborator) have not started to think about the next actor for the cast on 007, as they believe “anyone can be in love with a person at a time”. They are waiting for the 26th Iconic secret agent installment film to be out and get the dust settle for Daniel Craig, after which they will get on to the business of finding the future actor for the role.
As per the media speculations, Tom Hardy is running top in the line for the next 007 casts.
But Barbara Broccoli is also ready to break the mold of racism in the movie series as well as in the industry and is looking forward to casting non-white actors too.
Whoever would be the cast, he certainly will not be a copy of Daniel or any other previous actors, each actor who has acted in 007 to date were reimagined the role and that’s what is so exciting and fun for the entire team in the franchise. And hence the character evolves with each movie.
However, as the entire world is under the Pandemic situation due to Covid-19 widespread, it impacted the movie industry the same as it impacted other industries. No Time to Die was supposed to be out in November worldwide, but it seems it has to be postponed to April 2nd, 2021 now.
