David John Franco who began his career with films such as Superbad playing small roles is an actor and a director and is popular for the roles in films like 21 jump street and now you see me has been confirmed to be cast as Vanilla Ice, the rapper in the biopic movie.

The biopic film is titled “To the extreme” and the story narrates the life of a musical star who is a high school dropout starts his career by selling cars in Dallas and reaches the stardom from having a first hip hop single through the charts with Ice Ice baby. It also showcases the struggles of the rappers in reaching success and make his music history.
Franco said that Robert was very much helpful in getting him prepared for the role of the rapper by giving all the details and also admires his sweetness and intelligence of Robert. Dave Franco also adds that this biopic To the Extreme would be the one similar to the movie The Disaster Artist which was a huge hit in the year 2017 directed by James Franco. There is a high expectation from the people to have Tommy Wiseau being made fun of and he feels that it was funnier and the toned that was expected of the movie has set in well.
The film is named after the rapper’s debut album in the year 1990 is in the pre-production stage currently which is far delayed the scheduled time due to the coronavirus pandemic.
