In the past years, the genre of horror has gained a new heights, along with some projects and sequel franchise appearing to the box office success. And now a great news for horror fans that Scream 5 has started filming with the original cast. David Arquette starring as Dewey is also returning. Though Arquette has also admitted that he had tough time in filming hid character without Wes Craven the filmmaker.
To everyone’s knowledge, Wes Craven was a horror filmmaker who created marvelous horror films like Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street. When David was interviewed very recently, he became very emotional about his previous comment and said, “I’m sorry. I’ve been having a really hard time lately with missing him. That’s such a beautiful thing to say. And, you know, I was tortured. My mother was dying around that time, so that was a really difficult and dark period. And it’s true. I do, like, long for a world of love.”
He was completely honest as he had already expressed his excitement in playing Scream’s Dewey along with his ex-wife Courtney Cox and Neve Campbell. He is already on a double edged sword. And clearly he is missing Wes Craven’s work on this new installment. As we all know this filmmaker has changed his career and life journey.
It is very difficult to imagine a movie like Scream without Wes Craven contributing in filmmaking, but this is the unfortunate reality.
Tough we are unaware of the storyline for Scream 5, Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin had already gathered a strong cast and crew.
The filming and production for Scream 5 has already started and it will release on 14th January 2020.
