Walter Hill, a veteran Western director, is currently working on another film in his favourite genre. According to Myriad Photographs, Hill’s next film, “Dead for a Dollar,” will be released in June 2021, to tell the story of the latest mission of a notorious bounty hunter on the left, who is unprepared for anything. Willem Dafoe and Christoph Waltz star. Hill not only directed the film, but he also wrote the screenplay.
Hill has been involved in the entertainment industry since the early 1970s, and he has written and directed a number of Western-style films. “Hickey & Boggs,” his first film as a screenwriter, was released in 1972. Hill made his directorial debut in 1975 with Charles Bronson’s “Hard Times,” after four more films, including “The Thief Who Came to Dinner.” Hill has made 20 films since then, including The Driver in 1978 and Wild Bill in 1995. “The Assignment,” starring Michelle Rodriguez and Sigourney Weaver, will be Hill’s first film since 2016’s “Dead for Dollar.” Of course, he has the necessary experience to set this new West apart from the crowd and bring it to life.
Here’s everything we know so far about “Dead for One Dollar,” including the cast and plot, as well as the release date.
Just because all of the information about the film is contained in the aforementioned film, it is safe to assume that it is still in the early stages of production. We’ll know a lot more about the release date once we’ve finished filming. Hill fans are likely to have high expectations for “Dead for a Dollar.” Hill directed nine films in the 1980s and five in the 1990s. Since then, the renowned director has significantly slowed his pace, producing only five films since 2000. Hill joins Myriad Photos with great enthusiasm. Hill is in charge of the film’s distribution. “We are thrilled to be working with the legendary Walter Hill, who created a Western world filled with contemporary subjects and feelings,” said President and CEO Kirk D’Amico.
What we know about Dead for a Dollar casting
Hill, along with two veteran actors – Christoph Waltz and Willem Dafoe – took part in the film’s announcement. Waltz will be played by Max Bors, a well-known jackpot jerk hired to find a rich businessman’s wife. Joe Cribbens, a professional gambler and Max’s personal enemy, will be played by Dafoe. If you’ve only seen either of these charismatic actors on their own, it’s difficult not to be excited about how they could play each other in the same movie, especially in antagonistic roles.
