Dead to Me a gallows comedy or otherwise popularly known as black comedy or a dark comedy is an American web series in the television first premiered in May 2019 and following the positive reviews on the first season Netflix the streaming gaint released the second season of the series in may 2020.
The series is created by Liz Feldman and produced by Feldman, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Jessica Elbaum, The earlier seasons of this series has been a huge hit and it is ranked as the fourth popular series on Netflix’s top 10 most popular series of 2019 with more tan thirty million households watching in its first month of release.
THE STORYLINE
The story revolves around two women in agony and depression who bond together in the process of therapy. Jen, a real estate agent has lost her husband who was killed in an accident by a hit and run driver and Judy claims to grieve for her fiancé who died of a heart attack but in reality her fiancé had broken up with her and also that she is the hit and run driver.
Both women try to come to terms with their loss while Jjen uses her anger and resentments as a vent for her grief as she processes her emotions Judy maintains a positive attitude and disposition towards the events. The difference in both the women leads to a deep bond and the story is how the mystery of the accident is unraveled and how Judy’s secrets come to light.
WHAT COULD BE EXPECTED IN SEASON THREE:
Though it is hard to finalize on what could happen in season three of the series it is believed that probably police was on the other side of the call with Ben before his car crashed and that they were going to tell him that his brother’s Steve’s body has been found. But since there are lots of twists and turns there is still no confirmation on the storyline.
CAST:
Christina Applegate plays Jen Harding and Linda Cardellini plays as Judy hale with other casts such as James Marsden, Max Jenkins and Sam mc carthy.
RELEASE DATE OF THE THIRD SEASON:
Season three of the series could be premiered by may 2021 though it could be delayed due to the impact of pandemic and season three of Dead to me brings both sad and happy news since the release of the season three is announced and that it is the last chapter of the series.
