A super cool American comedy-drama ‘Dear White People’ is one of the most popular series on Netflix. It is a comedy-drama satire based on the novel of the controversial same name. Initially, there were a lot of issues faced by the series because of this title as the series showcases issues on cultural biases and social injustice.
With season 1 in April 2017, season 2 in May 2018, and season 3 in August 2019 will we get to see season four as well. The good news is that in October 2019, Netflix had renewed the project for season four. Speculations are that this might also be the final season of the series. Though the initial plan was to release the series in 2020 October but looking at the global pandemic situation which has put a halt on everything including the entertainment industry, we can expect a delay. There are no official release dates from the production house because of the coronavirus situation. The series is all about black students studying at Ivy League Institution, Winchester University.
It touches various issues like Apartheid in America still being followed and intermittently erupts. Created by novel writer Justin Simien, season four should showcase Logan Browning as Samantha White, who is a college student trying to make people aware of issues at Winchester, Brandon P. Bell as Troy Fairbank Bell, DeRon Horton as Lionel Higgins who is shown as an intelligent and emotional school reporter and Antoinette Robertson as Colandrea “Coco” who is a woman who wants to outshine and will be seen annoying Samantha. Then we have John Patrick Amedori as Gabe Mitchell, Ashley Blaine Featherson as Joelle Brooks, and Marque Richardson as Reggie Green.
Organization’s dark secrets will be relieved and fans could see that in season four. There is still a lot hidden under the covers to be discovered in the next season. The excitement and curiosity grows as we wait for the next season. Apart from this, there is college politics, sex, racism, and many other issues that would be shown. As already stated, this happens to be the last season of the series so we can except that all mysteries and unanswered questions to be resolved.
