According to sources, this film was secretly shot in Canada during the covid-19 pandemic in 2020. The designers have officially announced that the film will be released on August 20, 2021. The film had its world premiere at the Berlinale, the 71st Berlin International Film Festival, in March 2021. It was then acquired by IFC Midnight in the United States and released in theatres worldwide on August 20. The film was released in the United States.

Demonic’s plot revolves around a young woman who unleashes terrifying demons in a pitiful manifestation of supernatural forces.
Carli Pope will lead the cast as one of the women transported to the simulation world. But we do know that Chris William Martin will play Martin and Nathalie Bolt will play Angela. Michael J. Rogers, Terry Chen, Jason Tremblay, Andrea Agur, Derek Versteeg, Chris Froese, Cassidy Wheatcroft, Varcoe-Ryan Mavourneen, Boisclair Quinton, and McClure Kandyse round out the cast.
