The official date has not yet been announced but after the situation of the novel coronavirus got stable, the production of 3rd part of “Derry Girls” has started.
Now, as the production has started, the main lead of the series, Nicola has confirmed that it will be out by the end of 2021. She said on Twitter, “We are very happy to announce season 3 of “Derry Girls” pretty soon.”

Synopsis: What is “Derry Girls” all about?
I discuss the plot, which revolves around Erin, her sister Orla, Clare their common friend, and Michelle along with James, a cousin of Michelle who just came from America. They all are teenagers and discovering their wants in “The Troubles in Derry”, where all were studying in Catholic Secondary School for Girls.
Erin was loving along with her parents, Gerry and Mary, and her sibling Anna, her aunt Sarah, and her daughter Orla. Her maternal grandfather, Joe was also living with her.
James is a cousin of Michelle; his mother left his father because he forced her to have an abortion and raised him in London alone.
The series knits the story of all teenagers struggling with their conflicts which are very interesting to see.
