Derry Girls which is produced by hat Trick production is a series set in the locations of Derry, Northern Ireland. The British sitcom is written and created by Lisa McGee. The black comedy series is directed by Michael Lennox and the theme music is composed by Dolores O’Riordan and Noel Hogan.
The first of the series hit the screens in 2018 and the second series was released in 2019 following successful reviews of season one of the series. There are a total of 12 episodes with six episodes in each of the seasons. Derry girls were produced exclusively for channel 4.
PLOT:
Anyone in the teens or is a part of any college would surely be able to relate to this story and enjoy the school drama of studies, detentions, crushes, and gossips.
Season one of the series revolves around the problems prevalent in Ireland during the nineties and the season two of the series on the procedures undertaken to bring peace and harmony. It is expected that season three of the series is expected with a lot of fun and frolic as usual and the tension prevailing in the residence of Erin when the news about the bombing is flashed. There is no more than this is known to be in the upcoming season as of now.

Saoirse Monica Jackson, Kathy Kiera Clarke, Tara Lynne O’Neill, and Mary are some of the celebrities who are expected to return in season three of the series and there is no other official announcement concerning any new additions.

After the success of two seasons of the series, the fans are frantically waiting for the next season which is getting delayed due to the steep increase of the impact of the global pandemic but channel four is all set to release the season three of the series in 2020 at the earliest
