Disney wants to release Scarlett Johansson-starrer ‘Black Widow’ in theatres

Good news for all Marvel fans, Bob Chapek Disney CEO has asserted “Black Widow” debut soon. He said that Scarlett Johansson’s most amazing superhero movie “Black Widow” is still on the way to make its debut this year. And yes the movie will release in theatres worldwide at the same time. 

On Thursday, when an investor called, Chapek said the company is not looking for any plans to send this Marcel Studios project to Disney Plus its streamer. 

He further added that they are still intending for this movie to have a theatrical release anyhow. And for this, they are going to watch everything very carefully to check whether that strategy needs to be reexamined. 

The upcoming movie “Black Widow”, with Johansson featuring the main character is her last appearance as Natasha Romanoff. This movie was originally scheduled to hit theatres in the month of May 2020. But after the unexpected pandemic scenario the release gets delayed.

Release Date: Black Widow will release on 7th of May, 2021.

Disney has made some bold moves that helped them to compensate for closed movies theatres in the pandemic scenario last year. Where they decided to send their high-budget action movie “Mulan” to its streaming platform named Disney Plus.

While their another high budget movie “Raya and the Last Dragon” will be debuting in both platforms. That’s in Disney Plus as well as in theatres for an extra USD 30 in Disney Plus. Later, the studio then further sent animated feature “Soul” to its streaming service.
