Dwayne Johnson has a lot on his plate. The actor will not only star in Disney’s next Jungle Cruise film, but he will also appear in a fresh new Disney+ series.
Beyond the Attraction, a new show coming to Disney+ that offers a “look ‘behind the curtain'” into the parks’ most renowned attractions and locations, is sure to please lovers of Disney Parks and Resorts.
Johnson worked as an executive producer on the 10-part series, which will dig into Disney Parks’ “rich, extraordinary history” utilizing archive and never-before-seen material to examine how some of its attractions came to be.
“Fans will be able to hear the unique tale behind each Castle at the Parks and understand how Disney Imagineers conceived and created them,” according to the official summary (via Disney Parks Blog).
Dwayne Johnson will also host the series’ Jungle Cruise episode, according to CNET, in which he will show fans a day in the life of a captain on the ride.
The Haunted Mansion, Star Tours, Tower of Terror, and Guardians of the Galaxy, Disney’s castles around the world, the Disneyland Hotel, Space Mountain and the Tron coaster, ‘It’s a Small World,’ the parks’ trains, trams, and monorails, and the Hall of Presidents will all be featured in episodes of Behind the Attraction.
Have you ever visited Disneyland? You might not need to as of Friday, July 16. Meanwhile, Jungle Cruise will be released in theatres on July 30 and will be available for streaming on Disney+ the same day.
