I have sweet info-shots for you that was revealed by showrunner Russell T. Davies.
Doctor Who revealed that the Doctor was the mastermind behind ending the Time War, he considered himself the last of the time lords, the time war was brought to an end by him with the destruction of Daleks and the Time Lords.
A superb concept, bringing the old-school viewers in, Davies considered time war a part of the classic era, destruction of the Daleks was much needed as they posed a threat to the life of the whole universe.
Davies had a positive outlook too for the Daleks, he felt behind the evil there had been something good also.
The Doctor Who novel, The Wintertime Paradox finally explained the issue that led to the time war, it is written by Dave Rudden.
The story has a number of twists, it one, where the doctor is seen engaging in conversations with Davros, the founder of Daleks, then he is seen locked up in a cycle of violence with these dangerous creatures. A plethora of hatred, the Daleks’ proving their overgrowing supremacy, the doctor trying to curb all of these.
The film was a journey of the good combating the evil.
