Doctor Who is a series based on the science fiction of 1975. It ended its last season on March 20 2020 with ten episodes on channel BBC One, as per the latest buzz season, 13 of ‘Doctor Who’ has been postponed. The project was stopped in between because of the pandemic across the world. Like entertainment projects had to be either delayed or postponed, the same has happened with this series as well.
This has been stopped until an indefinite time and date in the future. As confirmed by the director of BBC Wales there are no concrete plans to return to work and project soon. This particular project needs people to be there in person to work so it becomes all the more difficult to follow the norms of social distancing and shoot.
Adding furthermore the director of BBC Wales, Rhodri Talfan Davies said that now everything depends upon the pandemic and social distancing to get over as rules in Wales are different than England. In 2005 the series was made in Wales but if we talk about the past few seasons the project was around Roath Lock Production Hub in Cardiff Bay.
The series always is courageous enough to picture about the evils of the society and also voices against any injustice. As per the tweets on their official account Doctor Who stood against color-based discrimination writing Black Lives matter.
This season when it comes will bring a dark story where we can see ‘The Doctor’ played by Jodie Whittaker making to squat some familiar faces like The Master (Sacha Dhawan) and some fresh unknown enemies. With so much of animosity around her, she could always fall back upon her loyal Yaz (Mandip Gill), Ryan (Tosin Cole), and Graham (Bradley Walsh). To add on the list we can also expect, Bradley Walsh.
The concluding season had thrilled the fans by a faceoff between the group and the Cybermen. There were many situations that needed answers to and as last season ended on an open node where many questions about the major characters also needed clarity, season thirteen was being looked upon to come back with such answers to all open loops. Considering what is going around the future of Doctor Who looks indecisive.
Till we get to hear more stay safe.
