All the Doctor Who fans must be familiar with the story of the famous episode named ‘blink’. The episode is famous for its characters the weeping angels and the end it has.
Will now the writer of the show Steven Moffat has revealed that he has thought of a different ending in his first draft of the episode.
THE ALMOST
Originally the writer of the show, Steven Moffat had some other plans for the popular ‘Blink’ episode.
He had planned to name it ‘Sally Sparrow and The Weeping Angel’ as in the actual episode the famous Weeping Angels were introduced in the show for the first time.
Moffat’s first draft for the episode was mostly the same with Sally and Larry tricking the Weeping Angels to look at one another so that they would remain statue as they were meant to be.
This ensured that the two of them were not pushed back through time because if a Weeping Angel sees you then you will be thrown back in time.
As a result of all this the two end up together but even if Sally had blinked for a second then things could have been really difficult.
The importance of the blink forced Moffat to rename the episode as ‘Blink’. The only difference was in the fact that Moffat had proposed a different ending where Sally and Larry did not end up together at the end but they would have eventually in the future.
Which ending would you have preferred the original one or the drafted one that never happened?
