Ganeshaa’s 2018 Tamil-language action movie Thimiru Pudichavan (translates to Arrogant guy) was written and directed by him. Constable Murugavel, a Tamil Nadu native, dedicates his life to his younger brother, a school student. Murugavel’s brother arranges the next kidnapping operation at a location near Murugavel’s business late at night. That night, he reveals himself to his brother as a police officer and pursues him through the streets.
When confronted, he claims that he is under the age of 18, and so cannot be found guilty in court. Murugavel makes it till 12:00 a.m. on the day his brother turns eighteen. After that, he murders his brother.
Murugavel is considered as a brave police officer and is promoted to Inspector as a result, yet he suffers from high blood pressure and sleeplessness on occasion.
He embarks on a quest to fix problems in the city, and he chooses to take on Meesa Padma by portraying the police as a heroic character rather than Meesa Padma, who is seen as the city’s hero by the youth. In a side storey, Madonna and Murugavel fall in love.

Murugavel ultimately finds peace when he sees his mother’s portrait, in which his brother’s hallucination is shown apologizing for his error and reveres Murugavel as the true hero, allowing him to sleep peacefully.
Murugavel’s blood pressure remains stable at normal levels during his sleep, indicating that he has conquered his insomnia.
