Dune, by Frank Herbert, has long been regarded as a landmark work in the science fiction genre. Despite a few efforts to adapt his epic storey for the big screen, fans of the novel are still waiting for a suitable rendition from Hollywood. They’ll have another go at it pretty soon.

This autumn, Warner Bros. Studios will release Dune, directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, and a slew of other A-list performers.  Dune is one of the most anticipated films of the year, and you can find out all you need to know about it right here.

Release Date

Fans have been anticipating Dune for quite some time. It was originally scheduled to be released on November 20, 2020, but was pushed back to December 18, 2020, since all of Hollywood was moving schedules due to the epidemic. Dune, like many other big-budget pictures in 2020, was postponed until 2021. We now know that Dune will be released in theatres on October 22nd (after a premiere at the Venice International Film Festival).

Moreover, despite Villeneuve’s criticism of the choice, Dune will be accessible on HBO Max on the same day it is released in countries where the service is available. These day-and-date releases are free for HBO Max members on the $14.99 plan, but they are only available on the streaming service for a month following the film’s premiere.

Plotline

Frank Herbert’s Dune is a science fiction novel published in 1965. The narrative takes set on the planet Arrakis, which is hostile yet rich in the “spice” known as melange, a highly sought-after substance that may lengthen life and increase awareness.

The Atreides family rules over Arrakis. When they are deceived, the young Paul Atreides is forced to go on a mission that will save his family and all of Arrakis. Despite the fact that there will be sequels, this adaptation of Dune will only cover the original novel by Herbert, and apparently just half of it.

Dune – Trailer

People received them first peek at a Dune teaser in September 2020, when we were all still hoping for a 2020 release. Unfortunately, it was not to be. But, with only a few months until its new 2021 release date, Warner Bros. has released a brand new teaser, which you can see below.

Dune, as you can see, appears to be incredibly spectacular. Its huge size is on full show, and we get views of the majority of the star-studded cast. Personally, I can’t wait to see it on the big screen the next time I go to the movies.
