As with all soap, EastEnders is known to bring its characters through a dramatic affair, but Denise Van Outen said that she had a terrible experience when she was at a guest.
Max Branning’s love interest Karin Smart was performed by the host and actress for several episodes in 2015. She said that the intensive workload created an unhappy atmosphere among the cast.
She told the reporters, “Everyone I met on EastEnders would just moan about it, just whingeing about everything. The day I arrived, and I’m quite a bubbly person, I was like Hi! and they were like oh, you’re going to hate this and I said Oh really?”
She continued to add to her statement, “I don’t know what it’s like now, but when I was on, I found it very intense. But I think it was quite public knowledge there was a lot of tension on set. I don’t want to disrespect any of EastEnders’ actors because they do an amazing job, but I think perhaps, there’s a lot they have to get through. They’re very focused, and I just thought I would have more fun.”
There was no comment on this from East Enders.
Denise had played a guest role in neighbours during her tenure at Walford and called it “so wonderful time with such an incredible cast and crew.”
The other day, EastEnders had a little fun but posted an April Fool video that threatened to change Queen Vic’s name.
