EastEnders has added Bad Girls star, Simone Lahbib, to the cast and she is set to make a “lasting impact” on the Carter family.

News of the casting was confirmed by the BBC soap, which announced that Simone began filming scenes this summer ahead of her on-screen debut next month.

There is no word on who Simone will be playing, but we do know she will have links to Mick Carter. Simone also has real-life links to Carter’s family members Luisa Bradshaw-White, Kellie Bright, and Linda Henry, who all starred alongside her in Bad Girls.

Speaking about joining the EastEnders vast, Simone said: “I am thrilled to be joining EastEnders.

I can’t say too much about who I am playing just yet, but it’s fair to say that she is set to have a lasting impact on the Carter and will test their strength as a family. It’s also been lovely to be reunited with Linda, Luisa, and Kellie – it’s been a bit of a Bad Girls reunion!”

Jon Sen, executive producer of EastEnders added “We are delighted to welcome Simone to Walford. Her character’s links to the Carter family will form part of an important new storyline for Mick in particular.

It’s a story that we look forward to sharing with the audience with its impact on the Carter set to be everlasting.”
