Yes, you heard that right, all the Euphoria Fans will be delighted to know that Euphoria has been renewed for a second season. Here we are with all the exclusive updates you need to know. Directed by Sam Levinson, the superhit HBO Teen drama made its debut on HBO, last year June 2019.
It is an American adaptation of on Israeli drama of the same name. Euphoria Season 1 had 550,000 viewers per installment and the first premiere got 5.5 million views across HBO’s platforms was thus destined to be renewed for season 2 to give its fans a few more moments of jaw-dropping entertainment.
Release of Euphoria 2
After the huge success of First Season, the series renewal was announced a month after the first season was premiered. The second season is in development Maybe? We think. It’s still unclear. The first season was aired in June 2019 and if the reports are to be believed the second season was to follow the same schedule but Euphoria’s production was halted unfortunately in March 2020 due to COVID-19 Pandemic.
The makers haven’t dropped an exact date as of now but if they get started with filming this summer then the show might return till late 2020 or early 2021 but don’t get too hopeful as HBO hasn’t given any official confirmation regarding when exactly the show might return. So just wait and watch when the show gets to return.
The cast of Euphoria 2
As far as we know the Euphoria Fans don’t want to see any changes in the cast and the sequel is expected to return with the same primary cast.
Here’s the expected cast list in Euphoria 2: Extraordinary talented Zendaya as Rue, playing the lead role, joined by Jules (Hunter Schafer), Lexi (Maude Apatow), Fezco (Angus Cloud), Cal Jacobs (Eric Dane), Maddy (Alexa Demie), Nate (Jacob Elardi), Kat (Barbie Ferreira), Leslie (Nika King), Algee Smith (Christopher) and Cassie (Sydney Sweeny), few other familiar faces like Storm Reid as Rue’s younger sister Gia Benett in the series, Ethan Lewis as Austin Abrams, will be seen as well.
Some new faces might be included in the series one of the confirmed casts is Kelvin Harrison Jr. who isn’t confirmed to be replacing someone or will be an addition to series.
Expected Plot of Euphoria
No official comments have been given related to the Plot of Euphoria season 2, but as the first season ended, Maddy has ended everything with Nate on the dance floor, Kat and Ethan decide to give another chance to their relationship, Jules who had run away to the city and the wellbeing of Rue is what is most fans are concerned about.
The expected storyline of season 2 will reveal about same and her journey to fight her addiction to drugs or a trip back to the rehabilitation center and the consequences of Jules Departure on Rue.
