Euphoria is an American teledrama series based on a few TEENS, created by Sam Levinson, partly based on Israeli Euphoria mini TV series which was created by Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, and Tmira Yardeni. It got aired on HBO on June 16th, 2019, and got renewed for season 2 in July 2019 due to its instantly gained popularity.

 The cast list is quite long, consisting of:

 Zendaya as Rue Bennett (lead character, 17-year-old girl, recovering from drug                  addiction)

 Maude Apatow as Alexis Howard (Rue’s best friend, Cassie’s sister)

  Angus Cloud as Fezco O’Neil (the drug dealer, close to Rue)

 Eric Dane as Cal Jacobs, Alexa Demie as Madeleine Perez, Jacob Elordi as Nathaniel Jacobs with many other co-stars who are recurring and permanent in the season 1, might be seen in season 2 as well including Kevin Harrison Jr.

 Sam Levinson has based this series on his personal teenage experiences of drug abuse and struggles. The sensitivity of the teenage phase of life is the foundation of the series. Plaothora of controversies have been depicted like drug use, sexual activity, obesity, peer pressure, and love interests on the screen. However, Euphoria has been a massive hit and has been awarded 86% ratings by viewers.

Euphoria Season 2: A Musical Teen Drama

 The production was planned to start in 2nd quarter of 2020, but due to global pandemic situations, the shoot is being delayed indefinably till further notice according to Deadline Hollywood. As its name suggests, it’s a musical series of the episode based on the ups and downs in a teens life, Labrinth (English Singer, songwriter, and record producer) has taken its charge. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he stated: “When you look back to your teenage days, it feels semi-magical but semi-crazy and semi-psychotic. I wanted to make sure the music felt like those things.” 

 “All for Us” is a sensational song played by Labrinth and Zendaya in the season 1, and later Adam Leber and Jen Malone (Ammy Nominated Music Supervisor) has won the Guild of Music Supervisor Award for the Best Music Supervision in TV Drama in Feb 2020.

 Quick Flashback:

Rue is out of rehab and started using drugs again. Her friend Jules, a transgender girl is trying to adjust in this world. Nate an athlete is having huge anger issues. Other teenagers who live above kids are finding life difficult to adjust.

 Upcoming plot:

Season 2 will start at the end of season 1. The story is speculated to revolve around the life of the teen friends again and there teenage issue with a lot of musical uplifting events. Will Rue be kept addicted to drugs or she will transit to a better life? Will Jules come back to Rue or leave her to start another life. There are many questions left to be answered after season 1.
